FULL MARATHON ILLINOIS MARATHON 2012

More than excited about this race that goes through my hometown. My brother (athlete-supremo) and I will run our first marathon together...he of course will finish 2hrs before me! :)

KSA 5k... with bro

Yea. I have the best older brother in the world (I cant call him big brother, b/c I'm taller... 2 whole inches!)

We ran the KSA 5k at the Univeristy of Illinois together... so much fun. Very nice race... also the weather cooperated and we felt great!

Super slow pace, since it was my first run...in a month. 12min miles.

CJ won an ice cream cone!!
the real plus is that it was only 10mins from CJs house..how sweet is that?

1000 yards

Swam yesterday night with Janet.

FElt great.

Next week 1500 x 2... should get me on track for another olympic distance next year.. heck maybe even an Half Ironman. We'll see!!!

making efforts




Mix 1 cup riced cauliflower with 2 eggs, 1 cup of cheese & 1 tablespoon oil of your choice (I used grapeseed oil). Spread in baking sheet.
Bake fir 15-20 mins at 350
Spread sauce.
Add toppings
Bake toppings for 15 mins & you're done. I chose prosciutto & cheese.

a simple 500 swim with Janet. It was much needed. It took all I had because I havent worked out in a while and I feel great.

Everybody's working for the weekend!!

So...
Yep...
Didnt do much...

I did however set up my Wii Fit Plus. I think I'll work on my speeches for work, school, activism there. Should help me a lot with my balance.

I ate pretty well. I am notcing my clothes fitting a little looser. A lot looser and closer to the correct fit is ideal! LOL

Anyway I have set up a race for my brother and I on the 22nd. Very muchly looking forward to it. SHould be a blast. I hope I'm back in running shape by then.

Tonight I am swimming with Janet the Fish and am so excited about it. It will be great to get back to this core fitness realm!

Organic day 6!

Saturdays are long days...
I spend from 8am-530pm at school.

This mroning on my drive to school I had breakfast

Breakfast:
Organic beer brat
1 slice organic rudi's bread
durring class...
1 apple

Lunch:
Not organic...
chipotle...its provided by the school. Since I paid my tutiion I paid for it and I'm eating it...plus j'adore chiptole.

Yes Yes, I know I skipped day FOUR. it was a blur! Didnt do anything I awnted to do.

here is what I remember:

got ok to do 5k at home with my brother, maybe we can push Annabelle in the stroller!

didnt eat lunch...had a banana that was supposed to go with breakfast.

Organic day 3!

Woke up...sleepy... which is often the case when one wakes up. lol

Traffic was a bear. There were 17 accidents today. Yikes! I guess everyone else was sleepy too!

Breakfast:
Crustless Quiche (see day 2 for ingrident list)

Lunch:
Salad
+spinach
+2 hard boiled eggs
+pepper jack cheese
+half avacado
+salt and pepper
Carrot
Took yogurt but didnt eat it.
Had great conversation with Coworker Pat about everything( home repairs, Autism, Politics)

Dinner:
Newmans Own Organic Pizza.
Special treat for Cyndi because she had a good long hard working work day..and I know she loves loves loves pizza.

Chole..oops I mean Chloe came to visit for the week. She's a sweet dog. Having fun with Chloe and Ollyvia in the same house. Kiki doesnt know what to think.She spooned me all night long. poor kitty.


Water intake:
16.9oz (need to catch up... b/c the time is 1230p)

Organic day 2!

woke up a bit sleepy, but no headache, and felt good. No work out this am.. but physical therapy for my knee this am. SHould find out if I can bike or swim soon.

**Breakfast:
4oz crustless quiche (organic recipe)
+eggs
+spinach
+pepper jack cheese
+fat free cottage cheese
+garlic
+salt
+tomato
Organics blueberry lowfat blended yorgurt

Salad with what was in the fridge (all organic)

+pan seard chicken thighs (2)
+cesaer dressing (1.5 tbsp)
+pepper jack cheese (1 oz)
Fuji Apple

**Dinner @Karen's with Cyndi and Joy

+goat cheese
+raspberry vinegerette

Grilled Chicken breast
Asparagus

Organic, gluten free, almost sugar free sweet potato pie

We're Organic!!

So, Cyndi had this idea that we should eat organic for a week along with taking the elixir (ACV, honey, cayanne, lemon juice).

Day 1 is today:
Didnt prtepare my breakfast or lunch ahead of time so I grabbed the following when I left this am:
apple
pear
grapes
2 carrots
3 eggs (in the shell)
1oz cheddar
1cup cottage cheese
1 yogurt
1 banana
3 cups salad mix
2tbsp ceaser dressing

**Breakfast:
1 banana (830am)
scrambled OVER MICROWAVED eggs (1 egg actually made it into my tummy)(9am)
1 cliff bar- thank goodness for meetings in the morning!(1030am)


**Lunch:
apple(1215p)
grapes(1215p)
cheese (1215p)
salad and dressing (1145am)

**1230- Headache and very sleepy

**Dinner:
pan seared chicken thigh
buttered carrots
sugar free, gluten free, sweet potato pie (it was alright..but nothing beats brown sugar)
hand full of mixed nuts and crazins.
(also while cooking I tasted everything... )

**Water intake:

16.9 by 1115am

SPecial notes: Headache continued after dinner took two excederine. Headache gone.
Cyndi had a headache too...headache didnt subside after 4 tylenol
