Sorry I havent posted in a while....

The race was great!
2mile run
12mile bike
2 mile run
Early morning start, a challanging course, and a bright and warm day.
As I remember it.. I finished the first 2mile run in 26minutes which is right on my normal pace.
The bike portion was a lot of fun, a few pretty good hills. The second lap definetly kicked my butt. As I came into transition a few spouses/fans were in the transition area and I found this annoying for 2 reasons... 1. I made a pretty good investment in my bike 2. it slows down your transtition to run around lookie-lous.
The second 2mile run was a bit slow, and I really wanted to push, but really didnt until I got to the straight away.
First Run:25:33
Bike1:01:45
Second run:27:41
(Took out transitions) FInish time 1:58:10
Notes:
Yesterday a friend (Kay) told me to try the run for my one mile pace (13:30) and walk fast pace for one minute. I will apply this.
I live everyday with the hope that I will not regret it. I am a pervert of hope, I may "know" that my will can not produce every result I hope for, but I do it anyway

Accountability = Success?
I have been so fortunate to have such great friends (like you guys) to help me through this process of getting fit and in a healthy condition.. I am very close to hitting my goal and getting to a level of maintenance.
Accountability is a stepping stone to success! We know this and recognize this most easily as HOMEWORK! If you do your homework the test is cake! Right? lol
The same thing goes for working out and eating well.
One of the most amazing things about successful people and systems is that they use two sorts of accountability.
Overeaters Annonymous uses:Sponsers and Journals
Entreprneurs use: Networking with like minded goal oreitned people, and journaling
Discussing your intake and work out here or with your spouse, friends, co workers, whomeever.. makes you accountable. Tell us/them what you WILL do, and what you DID do.
Journaling: keeps you accountable to yourself and gives you a positive outlet to be honest with yourself and remain focused on your goals, or to change those goals a bit.
Through this journey (or hike to the summit) I have met amazing people and helpful friends, and have learned so much and have had a chance to funnel information from them.
I've met a women who lost over 200lbs ( no surgery), Ironman (women and men), dietary specialists, sports nutritionists (thank goodness), ultra runners (they are insane), aqua nerds, olympic qualifying wrestlers, and sick cyclists.
Oh and they all drink beer like ... its Octoberfest!
Most importantly they are succuess driven and they all, all have a (or multiple) point(s) of accountability...So there has got to be something to it... right?
Oh and the beer..gotta drink beer.
Honestly!

What happens when you miss a work out?
Sincerely wanted to, and honestly didn't make it to 6am swim. *sigh*
The alarm went off and I hit snooze and rolled over FOUR times! I even texted my brother... and asked him if he thought I should go.
Me @ 455am" Torn. Did a good brick work out last night. Should I swim at 6am today?"
Him @ 617am " Sure never hurts to do a little cardio, just don't feel the need to go balls to the wall. Just set a nice comfy pace work on technique"
But as we know the work out didn't happen.... So as the title states; WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MISS A WORK OUT?
For me... Guilt! I've been thinking about it all morning. Thinking of what I can do to make up for lost time...
go for a swim during lunch?
walk the business park 2mile durring lunch?
go do weights during lunch?
Sigh... so its best not to miss the work out!
Honestly!
